Life is full of gratitude
This is an interesting tag I got from Juliana. I met her online, one of the people I admire. She writes from the heart and you can see it from the way she executes her words. Very classy and sharp. An inspiration to me for sure. With that said, I am thankful for meeting her here:)

This tag is about things you are thankful about/for. And like everyone, I have lots to be thankful about/for.

There's my parents, of course. My hubby for all the support you can imagine, my friends here who inspires me, my siblings, my son, all of whom I've been connected to. We created dramas and memories in life, all of which I have treasured. I am not just thankful for all the bounties we had/will receive along the way but for all the trials we met. By embracing these trials can we only grow stronger and appreciate life... and by having less when we were kids, now I can really appreciate the things we didn't have.

If you can't be content with what you have received, be thankful for what you have escaped

Gagnez Un Beigne
I do pick up coffee on my way to work almost everyday. Tim Hortons is just around the corner, so instead of me making my own coffee at home, I am hooked with Timmy's coffee. They have the 'roll up the rim to win' promo these days and I have been winning free coffees and donuts. So I am hooked more,lol... I'd like to win the car though. A couple of people at work have won a GPS and $50 Tim card, so he'll have a bunch of coffee right there.

I wasn't a big fun of coffee until I came from the PI. It's just so cold up here that coffee is like 'soft drink' in the PI. Not to mention that I work harder here than before so I needed to be awake more and coffee does the trick for me. I know it's not good for me but who can resist Tim's coffee especially early in the morning?

Memory Foam For Comfort
Sunday, March 30, 2008
Memory foam mattresses are a real specialty at bedinabox.com as they have a geat selection of not just the mattresses, but also what they call the foundation - I would maybe just call it the bed! But, you know what I mean. Memory foam has replaced the old water bed in being the way to go for equalized pressure throughout the contact points between the bed and yourself. And I hear a rumor from a very reliable source that they will soon be adding a massage chair to their showcase of products at bedinabox.com so keep the website bookmarked as a favorite.

House Accessories to Upgrade Your Living
Dressing up a house can be easy if the design of the house is such that the addition of some extras can change the appearance in a big way. The addition of fiberglass columns for instance, can change a house into a mansion. Worthington Millwork, of Jacksonville Florida have a very comprehensive line of house decorative accessories to add style to your living. They have things called Window Heads, which are basically like a lintel to fit above the window, and these alone can change the whole image of the house. They have lots of pictures and ideas at worthingtonmillwork.com .

Erectile Dysfunction and Tadalafil.org
Thursday, March 27, 2008
If, like me, you watch too much TV, you will have heard of Cialis, as there are regular advertisements about it. Tadalafil is the active ingredient in Cialis, as well as being a product in it's own right. There are many reasons for erectile dysfunction, and Tadalafil can be a useful medication to reverse the disorder. A good idea as a first step is to see your doctor, but before doing so, it would be a good idea to visit tadalafil.org so that once you are discussing your issues, you can be more informed.

The sun is shining!
There is hope yet! Yesterday was really chilly. The day before that was snowy. As if this will never end. Boy, I am really tired of the cold weather. I woke up today and sun is shining, yuhoo! Today should be nice. I am just getting ready to go to the city. Some paperworks to sign, then will head to my folks place. Just thought to check here first. No opps anywhere for me. But then again, I don't have a lot of time to wait today. Thanks for the visit again guys, will blog hopped as soon as I can!

Spring has sprung
Sunday, March 23, 2008

So glad that warmer weather is so close now that I found some spring flowers sprouting. I still have to clean my garden to really appreciate the beauty of these flowers. Some of my tulips had also been appearing. I really have to guard them this time because deer had been feeding off their buds last year. Anyways, just so glad that spring is really here officially.

Teak Outdoor Furniture For Garden Or Patio
Teak - to say it means to think of the decks of sailing ships. It is a dense wood that has a natural oil that allows it to be left out in the weather for years with no detrimental effect other than the color going a bit gray, and if this is not preferred, then a light rubbing with teak oil will restore the original appearance. I was interested in looking at the website of Thos. Baker at thosbaker.com because they are suppliers of teak outdoor furniture for the garden, in the form of dining sets, as well as benches and chairs. Shipping is available for all of the continental US. This is a quality item that I know will have my Hubbies blessing!

Air Purifiers At Cleanair4life.com
We only have to look at our warm air furnace filter to realize how much dirt and pollution there is in the air, even in the so-called 'country'. It is the same with water, supplies are getting infiltrated with contamination from human activity, in particular, the use of fertilizers. A great first step to take in combating the air pollution is to take a look at air purifiers at cleanair4life.com where they have a good selection, and a goldmine of information that will interest you before you make a purchasing decision.

Faucets By Price Pfister
Saturday, March 22, 2008
Faucets are something we all use, and I have to admit that in the past I have bought cheap ones, and that they last no time at all. In our bathroom, we are on the second set for the sink in 4 years, due probably to the water seeming to be a bit corrosive where we live. I was interested then, to see that there is actually a website called faucet.com and they stock quality faucets including those by Price Pfister, a company that has been making faucets etc for over 90 years.

Great Footwear By Naot And Others
Footwear online can be a good way to get fixed up for the coming summer season, yet without venturing out while it is still colder weather. Whether it is sandals by Naot or clogs by Dansko, there is a good selection at footwearetc.com where you can not only buy footwear, but also orthotic insoles to resolve foot problems, and quality handbags, socks, and shoe care products.

Wrinkles......
Do wrinkles get worse if you eat lots of sweets?

Everyone knows that your Peanut M&M’s or Skittles habit can affect your waistline. I just look across at my Hubby to conform that! And now some reports are suggesting it could also make your skin age quicker which in turn, is provoking a new crop of anti aging type of beauty products. Are they worth using, that's the question. Some dermatologists believe that eating sugar in excess of your needs will speed up your body’s natural process of glycation, which is when sugar and protein molecules join up and act against collagen. And collagen damage can make your skin less elastic, more easily wrinkled, and more vulnerable to sun damage.
Not all the experts are convinced, though. There probably is a connection between too much sugar and your skin but they just don’t have enough data to show us exactly what that relationship is. Most research has been underfunded, commercially sponsored, or done on cells in a lab. So it’s hard to know if or how results translate to your skin.

Blogging For Money - A Good Idea
Thursday, March 20, 2008
Isn't the idea of getting paid to you do your blogging a great idea? You can then not only enjoy the feeling of achieving something when you hit the publish button every time you do a post, but you will also find it greatly rewarding when occasionally, you also get paid for reviewing a site or giving your feedback or opinion by writing a review on a particular product or service. I have done this already, and I am sure it works, because I have the funds to prove it! It is really easy to get paid while you are blogging because advertising via blogs is one of the most efficient and cost-effective ways for those advertisers to get their services and products out there. There are some particular things that you have to pay attention to, things like the number of words you have being what is required, but those things are very easy to do, as they are generally part of the instructions, or general rules. So if you are a blogger already, or want to start a blog, get it approved by Smorty! It's so easy to do and you can start to earn money by doing your blog for money quicker than you think.

At 2:48am
Today is officially the first day of spring. It was official at 2:48 this morning. Finally, spring is here. The irony though is, the school has been canceled today because of the freezing rain. I drove out this morning and yes, it was hellish out there. Pretty funny for the first day of spring. But hey, can't complain too much because warmer weather is just around the corner.

The 4th times
Saturday, March 15, 2008
Well, we have another 20 little guppies. Mommy guppy had more little ones few days ago. This is the 4th times my 2 mommy guppies had babies. The first 3 batches are getting big now. They are about 2-3 months old. Some are actually big enough to be joined with the adult fishes. Well, the tank still seemed to be not too crowded yet despite the total number of fishes we got.

KVM Switch - multiple computers, one keyboard/mouse
Friday, March 14, 2008
One of the problems we have in our house is that my husband and I both like to use the computer, and when we do, it would be handy to have more than one website open at a time. A related problem for us is space, but with a KVM setup, we can have two or more computers (Hubby collects older computers like some people collect antiques) all controlled from the same workstation.
A typical situation that springs to mind is when we are waiting for a website to update, and we want to carry on with ongoing typing or whatever, this KVM idea could be just the job.

Gas Prices GO UP Yet Again
The price of oil went up again this past week, and now the weekly gas price adjustment that we have in Nova Scotia every Friday has been made for today - 5 cents per litre, as was the rumour. That is, like, 22 and a half cents a gallon, or 20 cents a US gallon. Trouble is, I have to use it, I have to go and see my family 60 miles away, so that is 120 miles each trip. I really have to look at being sensible, and look at how long I expect to have my current SUV vehicle, and whether it might pay to get a smaller one. I do 60 miles a week for work. Add on the 120 at the weekends, that is 180 a week. Plus some other running around. Say, 200 a week. 42 gallons a month. With a small car doing 40 MPG instead of 19, I would save 22 gallons a month. That is roughly 118 bucks saving. Almost enough to finance a new car. Or, I could go out and buy a Cadillac, as the prices must be really sweet right now, and the savings can be spent on the extra gas.

Thursday, March 13, 2008
Addictions, whether related to alcohol or drugs, are a difficult situation to combat. Those involved are not only the primary person, but also those around that person. It is important to have a good environment when undertaking addiction treatment and Sunset Malibu provides that environment, as they have the location, facilities, and most of all, the staff, to give the best opportunity for success.

Seems like it has been a Long Week!
I always find that when I am on a late shift, or night shift, the week lasts a long time, and I seem to get nothing done at home. John says I should relax about doing house stuff, and leave it until the weekend. He does a fair bit around the house, but he really isn't interested in it - the house could fill with an inch of sand or clay and he wouldn't notice it! Well, actually, he would notice it, but wouldn't bother cleaning it, as he would say, we might as well wait to see if any more comes before we bother cleaning that stuff up!

Gas Prices Are Soaring - Again
So, John just went out, and when he came back, he had filled my Jeep. $80 and the tank wasn't even fully empty when he filled it. The gas is going up another 5 cents per litre tomorrow. So, I saved about 2 or 3 bucks by filling it tonight. Then tomorrow, I am running down to pickup my son from the family's place, and that will get rid of about $35 of it. John says that his guess is that it will hit $2 a litre by years end, and it isn't going down - it is like real estate, they are not making any more of it. Makes the few pesos it costs in the Philippines for a Jeepney trip seem like a real bargain!

Alcohol Rehab at Cliffsidemalibu.com
Alcohol or drug addiction can be a major way that life for a whole family is changed. The ways of fixing it are often well known to all involved, but the actual action to follow through on that knowledge is very very hard to do. One thing that is needed is a good support system for the main individual, including, in the case of alcohol addiction a good alcohol rehab program, such as the one at Cliffsidemalibu.com .

Snow Will Foul Up My Plans.
Turns out that there is supposed to be a big snow storm on Saturday. If this is true, I will be scaling down my plans a bit. I was hoping to go to the next province, New Brunswick, and take a look at some things there, but anyway, I promised my son Arvin that we would all go out soon for a big Chinese meal feast, so I guess that Saturday, if it snows a lot, will be the time to do that. Also, it will have the advantage that the restaurant will be less crowded.

Another day wondering about work.......
I have promised my son that we will be going out for a treat during his spring break, and he has so far spent it with my family, as I have been on a night shift. Now I have to hope that I won't get told to work at the weekend, as I would prefer to go out on Saturday, as on Sunday night I have another night shift starting, because I traded shifts with a co-worker who could not find overnight child care for the spring break. So, fingers crossed for good luck.

Affordable Luxury Vacations At Shermanstravel.com
Luxury generally indicates expense, but it doesn't have to be so. If it is luxury vacations that you are looking for, there is a great one-stop website to take a look at before you waste a load of your time surfing around aimlessly. Right now, the vacation business appears to be gearing up for a busy season, and there are some really great deals at shermanstravel.com including, for instance some cheap spring fares, although you will have to grab them quickly. They have airfare offers as well as hotel offers and packages. I took a quick look at the airfares to Asia just to see how good a deal they give, and they seem to be currently giving roughly about a 500 dollar saving on the round trip. Might even be worth phoning in sick, and jetting off to see the world!

Hubby Might Have A Rogue Car
Wednesday, March 12, 2008
Hmmmm, So, John drives up to the house with smoke pouring from his car. Turns out it isn't smoke at all, but steam. So, he is trying to find out where it is coming from, and by the time he had the hood of the car open, it had disappeared. So, now he has been warming up the car and leaving it running in the driveway, but guess what, no steam. Oh, well, that is what husbands are for - fixing things! I will leave him to it. But I am willing to bet that his car will not be with us by the end of this year, if not sooner.

Kentucky Derby Party Invitations
Invitations give the recipients some idea of what to expect from a function. For instance, if you are inviting guests to a wedding, then they will get a first impression from the invitation letter. So, it is great that there is an online service that will do all the legwork for you. From the usual and expected invitations, right through to the somewhat unexpected, such as Kentucky Derby Party Invitations, thepartystartshere.com can have the whole thing arranged in a short time.

US Coast To Coast Computer Rentals
Computers are now a household item, but there are times when we might be needing more than just a simple computer. For instance, say we need to teach a group, and need each one to have their own computer access in class, the best way to ensure this is to rent the computers. ICC have a nation-wide service for computer rental and also audio-visual equipment rentals. This might also be a good way to check out a certain product before buying it.

Best Dance Crew
Do you guys watch America's Best Dance Crew? It's been one of our favorite shows on TV nowadays. And we love the Jabbawockeez! We love the group because aside from most of them are Asian, they deliver moves and grace that you don't see often. My son just love them, so do I! Here's their latest video from last week's episode:)

Updated list
The list is still growing, if you guys haven't been on this list, then try and get a spot:)

*Start Copy Here*

You do not have to be tagged to play along. This game is simple and so are the rules.

1. Copy from *Start Copy Here* through *End Copy Here*

2. Add your site(s) to the list. Just be sure to post at each site you add.

3. Tag or don’t tag, your choice, however, the more tags you create the bigger the list will grow.

4. Let me know your blog’s name and url by leaving me a comment HERE. I will add you to the master list. (If you would like a scroll box code, leave me your email address and I will email it to you.) Scroll Box Example. (I decided not to use the box for the Big Bang for ease of copying.)

BBF Gold Card
Tuesday, March 11, 2008

I got a shopping card from Ice! this card would always lit up my eyes! well, this one is an award so I can't go shopping with this one, but I am thankful enough that this was given to me by one of my oldest friends online. I've known her since I started blogging few years ago, so thanks Ice! Blogging Friends Forever we are for sure!!!! I am really overwhelmed by how fast and easy to make friends through blogging. It's like a window outside my own. I've known places that I have only seen on TVs and of course, I have known people and their outlook towards life and of course their opinion on things. No doubt that it all happened for me through blogging. So to my friends here, old and new ones, thank you!

Will pass this card to: Juliana, Francine and write shy

Been Busy
I have missed out a lot these few days in the blogging world. So really busy here. It's march break, and my son is out to my parents place to spend time with them. I'll be picking him up again to go away for the weekend. I've been trying to do a lot at home since it's just me and hubby around. But my plans to paint the kitchen doesn't look like it's gonna realized since it's almost Wednesday already and the week is almost over. I have to do a lot of paper work too. Got to do our taxes really soon. It's been bugging me for the last two weeks now. So I think, it's more important to finish this than the kitchen.

kiss.jpg

Good morning friends! I received this from Ice today and I thought this is so sweet. I really appreciate the thought, and like her, I would like to thank all my friends and visitors who come and visit me here. This blog is new, but I know I will make new friends through this one too...

This is it for now...
I just finish this blog and I am still using the old blogger theme. I kinda like this black theme, I have used this before. I just happen to stumble on this while I was cleaning up my computer here. I just thought to bring this one back. I still have to add my friends here though, maybe tomorrow. My head is beginning to explode now, so this is it for me.

Kids are happy today
Well, kids are happy again today. Another day off from school. Another two days and they are off again for a week. It's a little cloudy outside, no storm yet. It may come in later on. It's better to be safe than sorry, I guess. Well, my son is planning his week off now. He can't decide what to do yet, but he'll probably will spend the week off at my parent's place. He's still not sure what to do, but I know I owe him dinner at a chinese restaurant, so I'll probably take him one night next week.
