Maybe it's weird??
Friday, May 30, 2008
You might find this weird, but one of my worries is a big asteroid hitting earth. Weird? I know not a lot of people worries about it. what can you do, right? Of course nothing. So why worry about it? well, I am not really worried to the point that I don't go out of the house anymore or something. From time to time though, I do look at the sky and will wonder if anything up there that our 'experts' is missing and is now heading towards earth. I can remember one year( maybe this is why I worry) that a fairly big rock, that would create a big damage, passed our planet by a few thousand miles. That was the good news, the bad news? nobody sees it until it passed earth two days later! why? because it came from the direction of the sun!!!..well, it happened before, it could happen again, it's just a matter of time, right?

Obtaining Credit
Wednesday, May 28, 2008

Forewarned is forearmed, as the saying goes, and so if you are in the process of applying for a credit card, or doing any other dealing involving credit, then before you get started it is best to be aware of your actual status.
Many retailers such as automobile dealerships, will use a means of checking your credit that involves input from all three major credit rating agencies. This might sound a bit like overkill on their part, but once you realize the way things are done, then you can adjust your own actions for the best effect, and so one of the best ways for you to proceed is to pull in as many different sources as possible. A reason for doing this is that different sources (the ones who gather the information from the three main bureaus) use different formulas to calculate your credit score with them. Another factor that you might not be aware of is that the credit card companies have different cards for different people, depending, presumably, on the risk involved to themselves as lenders. So, if you have excellent credit, you will have a different deal than someone who is attempting to rebuild their credit after having been bankrupt, in other words, the conditions that are applied to the card will be different, and that difference will be dependent upon your credit report and score.

Press Release:

Choosing credit card is not an easy matter as it often seems at the first sight. If you want to obtain a credit card that will let you benefit and provide you the services you really need, consider several things before to fill out a credit card application.
First, decide what credit card you need. There are many types of credit cards today: secured and unsecured cards, plastic for business owners, student cards, etc. Learn advantages and disadvantages of every credit card type and make your choice.
The next thing to ponder over is how you are going to use your credit card. If you will be able to pay off your balance every month, you will benefit from a credit card with rewards. If you prefer to carry your balance from month to month, then look for a plastic with a low interest rate.
Study thoroughly credit card offer. If you want to enjoy your credit, you must learn all the interest rates, such as APR on purchases, balance transfer, and default APR. Find out what fees you will have to pay on your credit. Thus, you will understand the real cost of your credit card and will be able to plan your monthly budget.
Do not hurry to apply for the first credit offer you get. Take your time and make the right choice.

Found something interesting here. It was like a jellyish thing...lol... water is still cold here. So we made it to this beach we love to swim in in the summertime. As you can see, we are still wrapped up pretty good. Few more weeks though and it's shorts time. For now, just enjoying the breeze.

A couple more months.

My bro is going back home this year to reunite with his girlfriend. He's only been here a year and he wanted to see her again. No problem with that of course, apart from the moolah:)..he has been working really hard to save up for this trip. He had come up with the airfare, it's the pocket money now that's the problem. This is why it is very important for him to be set up here with regards to credit cards. Unfortunately, he is too new here to get one. Going to get a credit card is not that easy for him. With today’s growing tendency of buy-now-pay-later,it would have been beneficial to him to have a credit card now so he won't have this problem. I was just looking at a site on line for credit card review and it is very interesting to see all the information about different credit card offers. This is very beneficial to those who are looking for a credit card like my brother here. I am not sure what credit card he would apply though, although, some categories doesn't require a credit check and will approved regardless of credit history. This is awesome especially if you are trying to regain trust from financial institutions.

Home Sweet Home
It is great to put up my feet and relax. I enjoy being with my original family members around me, but there is no place like home, and the peace and quiet of a rural setting. This weekend, I am going to be setting up my next steps in expanding my business, so the discussions will be interesting. I still have to find time to blog, though!

Christmas Shopping In Summer!
We really can think about Christmas shopping this early - it really is a good idea.
There is now a shopping day known as Black Friday, the day after Thanksgiving, when lots of retailers have got together to make a day of great deals happen. All the popular large stores are represented. If you need a great way to get some gifts gathered ready for Christmas, then look no more, you have just found it. There is a one-stop website where you can not only check out the retailers listed there, but you can browse through the black friday ads by clicking links that lead right to the retailers. Who knows, this will probably become a shoppers day of celebration, like a birthday, and everyone can buy Black Friday Cards, so that all the shoppers can club together, and get the prices down by buying a lot of items in bulk! Seriously though, as a marketing idea, this one can really help us as consumers, in saving money, and so is a great idea. It is like a kind of Boxing Day Sale, but at a time of year when we are not all overspent because of Christmas! For instance, I just went to the Black Friday website, and clicked on Best Buy, and see that they have a 100 pack of DVD-R media for just $6.99. After I have finished writing this blog, I am going to go back to www.blackfriday.net and have a really good look around. It's about time I did some serious shopping without breaking the bank!

Getting a credit card
My brother, who is just setting himself up here, just got approved for a credit card! yay!..well, I have been telling him that it's a good way to get himself into the system in case he decided to get a loan, like a mortgage or something, in the future. Most likely than not, he'll get married and live here. So it is important for a guy like him, who just arrived from other country to be set up as soon as possible. It takes time to build a credit. It's not that easy to get a credit card when you're new. Sometimes it takes a few months before you can get one. But once you got it, it is your responsibility to manage it well. Credit is a great thing to have, as it is like having a large sum already in the bank ready for an emergency. Depends on what you use it for, some companies now offer credit cards for those who are new to the system or rebuilding their credit score. There are a lot of types of credit card nowadays. It is good to get all the information there is before getting one. Some people who travels a lot for example, should get a card that offers airmiles. At creditcardbest.com, you can find the best credit card that suit you and you can do it online.

Press Release:

Millions of people have problems with credit card debt these days. The main reason of the financial disaster is consumers’ carelessness. Credit card holders often violate credit card terms and conditions. Most of people commit mistakes thanks to ignorance and carelessness. But mind, you can spoil your credit history in a day, but you will have to spend weeks trying to restore good credit.
If you abide to the wise credit management rules and have no negative records in your credit report, you can benefit a lot from your credit. Consumers with excellent credit history can enjoy lowest interest rates on credit cards and loans, they are eligible for the best credit cards for balance transfers and offers with generous rewards. Today good credit means financial freedom and great credit options. So, take pains to improve your credit.
First, study thoroughly your credit card agreement. Learn your rights and duties.
The next step is to check your credit report. Report to credit bureaus about mistakes if there is any. Having corrected mistakes in your credit report, you will raise your score up to some points. Do not forget to check your report from time to time. It will help you to control your spendings. Keep in mind, credit cards demand great responsibility and discipline.

So you think you can dance?
We love this show here. Another season had just premiered last night. It was really interesting. We've seen people who can dance, I mean really can dance, and of course, people who think they can. It's the same with this Idol audition, I am not sure why people go to this auditions when clearly they can't sing or dance? don't they have any friends or family who would at least save them from embarrassment by letting them know that they can't sing or dance?..it's funny to watch though but at the same time, it's very embarrassing for the person....

TGIF
The week seemed to be fast for me. It's Friday already. I just got up and it's about 3am here. Had a phone call from my youngest bro. He needed to pick up from his work. I don't mind picking him up early this morning especially when it's raining like this. It was really warm when I went to bed last night and now it's pouring with rain. Hopefully it's gonna clear later on because I a new bed delivered at noon time and I have to check a contract after that. It's gonna be a really busy day for me:)

It's time again...

....for a haircut! We went out Sunday to find out that the place where I get my son's haircut is closed. He definitely needs a haircut now. It's getting warmer and he'll sweat very easily with this kind of hair. Well, it's not that warm yet as you can see in this photo taken yesterday. We headed out to a beach and yes, it's still a little cold. Anyways, hopefully we would be able to get his hair done on the weekend again...

Reverse Phone Book Lookup.
Monday, May 19, 2008

It is always annoying to have your cellphone ring, and find that it has no name on the display. This is especially true if it is done by some automated system, and you want to get back in touch with them. So, it is great to see that there is now a service to look up phone numbers in a reverse directory, so that you can find out exactly Who's Cell Phone Number Is This, or if it is someone telemarketing, then you can get added to their No Call List Information to prevent you getting further calls.

Rain, rain go away!
Out of the three days we had off, yesterday was the only nice day we had. Saturday rained really heavily in the city. We were running from the house to the car to the restaurant we went to for a birthday party. Then when I got home in the afternoon, it settled down, but it was still cloudy. Yesterday was a bit nicer though. It was cloudy and a little windy, colder than I would like it to be. But still, we were able to have a barbecue outside at a friend's house. So today was originally intended to be our own day out. Maybe go out to the park, or drive to the beach, but it's raining again. Our holiday is wasted just staying at home. This day would have been perfect to go out and take some photos outside. Oh well, maybe we will still go out to the mall later on.....

A Larger Choice In Shopping Online
Sunday, May 18, 2008

Shopping online has become a more natural way to shop than it was regarded a few years ago. We have all become more comfortable with it, as we maybe try it carefully once, and find that all that happens is that we get an ordered item delivered to us, and our credit card account correctly debited with the agreed required amount.
Just lately the online shopping trend has become more refined, and now there are websites such as the NetworkShopper Comparison Shopping site, that are expanded and encompass more items from more manufacturers, to allow more products under the one website banner, and this in turn allows for better comparison of the various goods sold, enabling the shopper to make better purchasing decisions.
It is rather like visiting a major department store but multiplied by ten. The goods are listed by category, and there is a handy search feature as well. I gave it a few test runs, and was delighted with the results, as there were far more listings of the selected products than I expected, and easy comparison was able to be made. I believe that this method of listing all the goods under one location is the wave of the future in shopping, as it gives a great competitive edge to online shopping that exceeds anything that can be offered by a local outlet.

It's a long weekend
Well, here we are, it's Sunday but thank goodness we still have one more day tomorrow to enjoy. It's Victoria Day here tomorrow, and hopefully it will be a nice day again tomorrow because we are thinking of going to a beach or something. We were planning to go for a drive today but a friend of ours invited us for a barbecue at the last minute and I don't refuse anything like that!lol...we just got back from there, I had a few drinks and the food was awesome!

Replacing Leaking Faucets
Saturday, May 17, 2008
Having an older house has it's problems, and one that we have is dripping faucets. We replaced them a few years back with really cheap ones, and they are now as bad as the ones they replaced. So, next time, and this time is soon, I will not be making the mistake of shopping for the cheapest but will be buying good quality bathroom faucets.

Typical meal

This is hubby's typical meal- baked potato, brussel sprouts and meat. This particular meat is one of his favorites. I got this from an asian store here. it's Tocino! he loves the taste of this one. We do love it. I have to struggle to divide the package equally between the three of us, lol...my son loves this too, with rice of course. Speaking of rice, i just bought a bag of rice the other day, and boy, it went up again! with the gas rising, i was kinda expecting it. Walmat sells rice for $10.80 before, now I paid almost $14 for the same bag! oh boy, we really gonna have to substitute rice with bread or potato maybe. Problem is, we love rice here...

Quality Faucets
I was not thinking quite straight a while back, when I bought some cheap faucets. We seem to have a high acidic content in our water, or maybe those things were made out of sugar, because they didn't last too long at all, just a could of years, and then started to look terrible. And they have been annoying me for a long time, the finish is poor, and they don't work properly. So, I will be shopping online at for high quality brand name faucets the next time around, so I have something that will last, and stay looking good.

I smell fishy
Thursday, May 15, 2008

We had fun fishing the other week. We went to a lake not far from here to get this Gaspereau fish that comes back in the spring to lay eggs. They breed in the lake I believe, then they leave and go to the sea to live and grow before returning each spring. The long trough in the photo is called a fish ladder, and it allows the fish to swim up against the stream and as they do, they swim in little stages up each 'rung' of the fish ladder, then they pause and rest for a while, then go up the next rung.
There is also the main channel, that has a little bridge over it, but the dam by the bridge is to high for the fish to jump or swim up. That is why the government have installed the fish ladder, to allow the breeding process to continue.
Before they fitted the fish ladder, there was a stream running over some rocks that had to be running high enough with water to allow the fish to get up it, and some spring seasons it was lower than was good for the fish, although a few always must have made the journey. I believe that the lake water level was increased by the man-made dam, as there are houses and cottages all around the other end of the lake.
The fish when running up into the lake are so many that as they swim, it is possible to just swipe your hands through the water and catch one! As for what we do with the ones we get, we put them all back, hehehehe. My son Arvin spent a bit of time catching the fish in the small pond at the lower end of the fish ladder, and taking them up and placing them in the lake.

Save Hundreds of Dollars Assembling or Upgrading Your Own Computer.
I believe that it is true when I read somewhere that when gals buy a computer, they take a different approach than guys who buy a computer. The guys, typically, will tend to go in to the store and ask what is the biggest and best computer that is for sale. This does make sense in a way, as the computer that is fastest will be useful for fast running programs for a little longer than the slower computers. But, the days of a 'slow' computer being so slow as to be annoying to use have gone. These days, the real criteria for speed is whether you are using it to play newer games.
Now, the gals, on the other hand, will generally ask what computer is needed for what they wish to do, such as maybe writing letters, chatting, digiscrapping, whatever. So, they will buy more wisely than the guys, relative directly to their needs. The days of going into a store and getting whatever is their latest offering that will be outdated within a year have gone. You can actually build a computer! It sounds like this might be only for people who are electronically minded, but this is not so, and here is why - a computer is just basically a case with several parts attached into it, and some wire cords attaching them together. So, you really can build a computer if you know how to use a screwdriver.
Easyasmypc.com have higher-end (in terms of speed) kits to suit gaming, as well as more basic kits that would be ideal for letter writing, photo processing, and general use for the home. Another option is to upgrade the computer that you have. Again, the necessary items are available, together with simple instructions. It is amazing how much better your computer will run, just by adding some RAM, or memory as it is called.

Will want to know how much traveling these girls have done: Juliana, Francine and Inaj:)

My Lakbayan grade is C-!

Could change your personality
Hair loss for men is a fact of life for some guys, while others seem to never get affected. It is partly an inherited problem, but there can be other factors as well. Androgenetic Alopecia is the name giving to the common problem - we are all familiar with the 'widows peak' effect, I am sure. So, it is good to know that there is a hair loss product that will combat the effects that are generated by the body in creating the condition. The main reason for occurrence is a chemical called DHT that is a spin off of testosterone. Procerin reduces the ability for DHT to be created from the testosterone. This is done without any reaction directly with the testosterone, which is, as you probably know, the male hormone.

Maybe Someday..
This photo is one of my favorites. This is with me and my siblings. There's 5 of us, unfortunately, my two brothers was denied of entry here. I sponsored all of them including my parents to come. So sad that it happened. I was really planning on bringing them all here. Now my 2 younger brothers are still hoping to come someday. I am still thinking of ways they can come over. I am not sure yet on how I'm going to do it, but I am hoping that all of us will be reunited again. Even if I am married now and have my own family, I still have it in my mind and heart to help my siblings.

It's been really cold here
I am not so happy with the weather right now. My new business requires me to be out and about all the time. And the weather is not really cooperating with me. It's been really cold and windy as well. I know that summer is for sure around the corner but I still can't wait for the much warmer weather than this. Although, the grasses and the trees are getting greener and I've seen people mowing the lawn, despite the wind, I still prefer the calm and not so hot nor cold weather:)

Great Deal On Bluetooth Headset
Sunday, May 11, 2008
With more and more jurisdictions legislating that cellphone use without a headset is illegal while driving, it is good to see an affordable option in cordless headsets. The Bluetooth system is well proven, having been around for a while now, and Buy.com have a great deal right now on aBluetooth headset so that you can be hands free without breaking the bank. Plus, my Hubby thinks that I look like secret service agent with one of these clipped onto my ear.

A Franchise Business Directory - Good Thinking!
Getting a business running is now easier, with a greater selection of opportunities that you can look into online, and compare. The way to go might well be to obtain a franchise which takes away a lot of the risk, as the groundwork is already done for you, so you have the backup of the parent organization to assist with advice and more. This allows a shorter time lapse between starting, and pulling in realistic monthly sales figures. This will allow focus to be on rapid yet supported expansion. Well worth looking at, as no-one ever got rich working for a boss.

Survivor On TV - Parvaty Wins
Now, isn't it a great game? It is a game that depends in the end on being able to stab other people in the back. And the secret is to end up as one of the last two, but to make sure that those who are voting don't like the other person as much as they like you, or, more accurately, are not as mad at you as they are at the other person. So, it was an interesting season, with lots of surprise plays!

Paintball Shooting - What a Great Hobby!
Wednesday, May 07, 2008
Paintball shooting is a sport that started as a fad, but has gotten solid in popularity, with fans right across America. Pntball.com is a website owned by Ultimate Paintball, specializing in discounted paintball accessories and supplies with free shipping.
They have everything from starter kits that include spyder paintball markers to top end guns that cost over $1000. But to start, it is best to pay a visit to a paintball shooting site, these are located in most areas, and can be either indoor or outdoor, the great thing being that you can generally rent the equipment for the first time experience, but believe me, it is priceless.
Once you try it, almost for sure, you will then want to make paintball a hobby, as it is really great. Anyway, start off by taking a look at the website, and then try it out, but be careful not to rush to buy from the paintball shooting site, as they can generally be more expensive than other sources such as pntball.com

Another New Gadget
This year had been really good for me so far. So many blessings to thank for. I just bought a new laptop for myself as a treat:) I think I deserved it! I work so hard and now that I am away on business most of the time, I really need a wireless network. I just got this working few minutes ago, and here I am babbling about it. I should take a picture of it, that's of the things I forgot to do. Oh well, maybe tomorrow, I'm just beat today. Well, good night ya all!

Wood Blinds Match Multiple Decors
Sunday, May 04, 2008
They have some discounts available right now at selectblinds.com and so now might be the time to take a look at their wood blinds, most of what they offer are generally made from basswood, they are so much nicer than the old painted aluminum or plastic blinds. They also have a handy estimator thingy on the webpage, so no need to write on scraps of paper. I think that the idea of having blinds made of wood is a great one, it is so much warmer to look at, and blends in with many different decors.

Hammock Chairs
A website called Garden Fun certainly lives up to it's name. I just looked over their website, an see that they have hammocks in a great selection of colors, but I prefer to buy a hammock chair as they look more comfortable, kind of padded, and less 'tippy' - but that is probably just my own thinking, as I know for sure that once you get into a hammock, you sink down low enough to make it secure and stable. But, the hammock chairs are really cool, I have never seen anything like them before, as the seat looks so nice and soft.

Cereal for Breakfast
Saturday, May 03, 2008
Are you into that? well, not me. Being raised from the PI, I am used to eating steamed or fried rice with eggs or sometimes fish for breakfast. It sounds really weird but if you are raised that way then it is just another things you don't think about. We have been spending a lot on rice since my family arrived from the PI last year. My family eats rice 3 meals a day. A meal without it is not a meal. Substituting it with cereal or bread is really hard. On the other hand, my son eats cereal every morning. A bowl a day is enough for him to get going. I am happy he is used to this. Aside from it's cheaper than rice, eating high-fiber cereal early in the day is a timing trick to have by making you less hungrier in the afternoon- the time when most of us tend to eat snacks and other calorie-dense foods.

Papermate Pens With Your Business Logo
It is one thing to have a fancy expensive pen, but such items have the snag of running out of ink at an awkward time, and of course, they are not generally the type of thing that you carry a second spare one of.
Papermate pens on the other hand are a pen that has made it's name by having superior writing and comfort qualities but at an affordable price.
It can certainly raise the status of your business to hand out Papermate pens to your customers, together with your company advertising or logo printed on the shank of the pen, and of course buying in quantity can save by having discounts.

New Laws
Friday, May 02, 2008
Hands on the wheel, eyes on the road... is one the laws that got implemented the beginning of last month. As of April first, using a hand-held cellphone while operating a moving vehicle is prohibited in this province! yes, you are not allowed to use your cell phone while driving, and this has forced most people to buy a cordless device or blue tooth for when they are on the road. Now, I am one of those people who are not familiar with these things. Most people around me in the city have one of these now. Boy, it is really hard to keep up with technology, ain't it? I even answered to a woman when she started to talk beside me, I couldn't see her hand by her ear, well, duh! she has one of these and she was talking on her phone. Well, that was embarrassing. All I want is a cellphone so I won't miss any important calls. I just started a business and I am on the road most of the time now. Do I need a cordless device now? I think so, but then again, I can just let my cellphone rings and let my mailbox get the call, right?

Another law that got implemented last month is smoking in a vehicle while children are present...you could get into trouble doing this, so you better watch out!

California Laser Eye Center
Lasik is a name that has become a common description, like the word 'Hoover' for a vacuum cleaner, or 'Jeep' for a small four wheel drive vehicle. So, we are getting used to the word Lasik as a description for laser eye surgery, although it is actually an acronym for a specific type of procedure. One thing that I just discovered was that you can move your eye during the surgery, and the laser will follow the movements via a radar system. Is that great, or what?

TV Wall Mounts Save Floor Space
Saving space is always a great way to improve room decor, as well as the feeling of well-being we get from having room to move, or at least getting our minds to think that we have. Most living areas have a TV, and it is highly likely that it will be in an entertainment center that uses up floor space. We can actually, if we wish, get away from that conventional look by using a tv wall mount to free up the floor space and to give a less cluttered look.

Did you file?
Hope everyone filed their income tax on time. Yesterday was the last day, but my neighbor said that they extended it to May 6th, to give more time to those who didn't make it yesterday. Some were relying to do it on line but apparently, the system went down for some reason, so they have to do it manually. I am not sure about this though, so you guys should double check this one for sure.

Authentic Prescription Drugs Online

Buying prescription drugs online just got a bit more safe and secure for those who choose www.edrugstore.md as their source. The interesting thing is that the products sold are original non-generic, so the quality is right on the money, so to speak. Viagra of course is a popular item, having become a necessary part of many of our lives, and you can buy Viagra online right at the website. But it doesn't end there, as there are also medications available that are for such things as weight loss, pain relief, as well as such things as to assist in quitting smoking, and for aiding sleep.
As with all medications, to be well informed is essential, so when considering your prospective purchase, you are able to look at most of the common questions that are asked about the particular topic applicable to you, by clicking on the 'Ask a Physician' tab. And even if your question is not listed, you can ask it online for a later response. So, this is not just a question of finding a cheap source, it is also about that source being responsible citizens (since establishment in 2002) in the way that they do business. You can also browse the site for general information, as they have a goldmine of knowledgeable facts about their subject of business, and of particular interest to me was the section called 'Health Articles'.
