Consumer goods have never been cheaper than right now, with many dealers overstocked, not because the economy is bad and people can't afford things, but more often because everyone is a bit wary about their income sources these days. Whether it is a HDTV or a DVR, the deals are great. The thing is, as the economy picks back up, so will the prices, so now might be the time to do some really good buying that will save a lot in the long run.
