Pay Day Loans
Thursday, February 26, 2009
It so hard to get loans these days. With the recent economy, banks, really do screen people before they hand over some cash. My current situation is also affected. Being so new with a business, it appeals so little in the eyes of lenders. So any financial emergencies is not really an option. There are still places out there though, to my surprise actually, that does online service that provides short term loans with no credit checks needed. It's really worth looking at, especially with this difficult time.Pay Day Loans are of course, just a short-term loans that will really help you get by for a month or so until you can find another source.

Our first...
Wednesday, February 25, 2009
...heavy snow fall was in November of last year. Everyone here is really tired of the snow. Who aren't? Everyone wishes for a warmer weather now. We had one of the coldest winter ever! at least for me anyways, but with the warmth we had today, there is hope for spring being just around the corner. Just take a look at these photos taken last November, you could barely stay on the road. Really quite something, huh? That's why I really appreciate the nice weather we had today. Yes, it was really nice to feel the warmth of the sun. Forecasts says Friday will be even warmer, 7 deg Celsius! Now that's better, isn't it? well, it's only February, but I am not complaining with any warm weather at all:)

Plastic Washers
Technology is getting better with time, say for example, plastic washers, they are useful for applications where electrical insulation is a requirement. Designers of many products are able to make use of not only this property, but also the structural property that is inherent in most plastics, namely a resistance to fracture that was not present in older insulating materials such as Bakerlite. Added to the usefulness, it is now possible to select sizes suitable for specific uses from a large variety of stock sizes.

Lucky Bamboo
I was given this gift from my son for my birthday. It's growing so well for a non-green thumbed like me^-^.. I don't know why I can't just keep a house plant. I have all the desire to have house plants around. I had spent some money buying them and in a couple of months or so, they all die on me. But this one here seems to be doing okay. It's been almost a year now and it's still kicking! It sure is a keeper! lol....

Stocking Up While Summer Goods Are Cheap
Tuesday, February 24, 2009
Time to get things ready for summer. One of the good things about spring is that it tends to be short, and the warm weather, or even the hot weather, is soon here. Just another few weeks to go, really. So, if you have a pool, time to do some saving on pool supplies before the summer prices take hold. Stock up for the whole summer and save even more. It really is good to get in front with things, so you don't have to worry later.

SD Cards For Data Transfer
Monday, February 23, 2009
Transporting data just got a whole load easier, and by that I mean cheaper. Remember the old floppy disk drives, just 1.44 meg of space. Well, now we have SD cards, like they use in cameras, that are 2 gig or more. By using an sd card you can store more information, and, like a USB flash drive, it is a static device, no disk spinning around and wearing out, so it should be a more reliable way to transfer data from one computer to another.

Only Time
Monday, February 16, 2009
I have been to different places, met a variety of people, experienced different kinds of ups and downs in life, I am still not certain what would happen to me in a couple of years time, 5 years time? 10 years time? ....I envy people when they have their lives orchestrally planned. Hubby always says to get a long-term plan first, short-term second. I have a vague plan for my future, but still, it's very flexible. I am flexible I guess, for me, my future will be the fruit of what I am doing now, ONLY TIME can for sure show me what it would be.

Who can say
Where the road goes
Where the day flows
- Only time

Who can say why your heart sighs
as your love flies
-Only time

And who can say why your heart cries
when your love lies
-Only time

Who can say when the roads meet
that love might be
in your heart

And who can say
when the day sleeps
if the night keeps
all your heart

Night keeps all your heart

Who can say if your love grows
as your heart shows
-Only time

And who can say
Where the road goes
Where the day flows,
-Only time

Who knows-only time
Who knows-only time.....

Another week, another dollar!
The real saying, unlike my title, is "Another day, another dollar" but it seems that I have no sooner had a small break than I am back to work. I think it is more tiresome to have to work in the evenings, maybe the human body gets ready for sleep, instead of getting energized ready for work! The good thing is that as my business grows, the income grows with it, once the up-front costs are paid.

Website Optimization.
My hubby has often whined a lot to me about how some businesses have websites but are not really interested or maybe set up to do real business online.
One of the lingo terms we see now is conversion rate optimization which is referring to achieving a situation where website visitors are doing more than look and leave. The better optimized a website is, the more value it has as an advertising and promotional tool. So, it is all about getting your website set up to work properly, and this is best done by professionals who know some of the little tricks of the trade.

New Furniture, New Look.
Sunday, February 15, 2009
With housing markets slower these days, it becomes a great time to spruce up your existing home by buying some discount furniture online. Couple new furniture with some minor decorating, and the look of a room can be completely transformed. Even leaving a paintbrush out of it, you can change window appearances, and items like bed linen can be altered to fit in with whatever new look you have decided upon.

Home Security
Saturday, February 14, 2009
Home security is getting to be an even more important item to have as the economy drops lower. Crime generally rises as the economy gets lower, and there are less job opportunities. Having a home alarm system is good not only for peace of mind, but will deter possible criminals, as well as preventing them from carrying on their work. The technology, like many others, has gotten better in the last few years, as communication in general is more affordable, and the prices of electronic equipment has decreased.

Doctor, doctor.....
Friday, February 13, 2009

give me the news! ...lol...I am into watching this series of show where these doctors meet tv. It's a talk show where 4 doctors of different fields discuss about health in general. I, personally, like this kind of shows. It's informative. And I guess, I am a frustrated wanna-be-doctor. I once was going into nursing school at least, but I really could not afford it, so it was dismissed. I think it's my passion. Human body is just so fascinating to me. Anways, I am watching this show on a regular basis now. Lots of interesting topics.

TV Stands
Tuesday, February 10, 2009
One of the things that happens with progress is associated change. For instance, just a few years ago, there were record players, and of course records. The records are for the most part no longer made, and so the record players went the way of the dinosaur. The same thing has recently happened with TV stands, as now there are the flat screen models, and a greater possibility of mounting the TV on a wall, maybe. So, it is no longer just a matter of getting a tv stand, it is a selection to suit the TV type that you own.

Taking A Cruise
Taking a cruise has gotten more fashionable, and prices are really realistic these days. They couple up a chance to see some varied places in the world, together with a great relaxing atmosphere that combines a great break from routine with even greater entertainment. I have to admit that I have never tried taking a cruise, but it is on my list of things to do.

Employment Info And Tips.
Employment has once again become a major news item, or, more correctly, unemployment has. And for those in the job seeking market, as well as established employees, it is handy to keep up with the trends regarding work etiquette. Many people are uncomfortable discussing subjects at work that they might relish discussing around a barbecue, or in the comfort of their own home. Employmentmetrix.com make a useful and interesting read for HR professionals, as well as for the general public.

Winters Are Warmer, That's For Sure
Here in Nova Scotia, on Canada's east coast, we used to get what is called the 'January Thaw'. This was a few days, around the middle of January, where the temperature went up above freezing, and it usually rained. Then we would settle into the winter again, this time with a nice layer of shiny ice to drive over in the driveway.
Nowadays though, we seem to get only a week or two of temperatures below freezing at a time. The rest of the time, throughout winter, we get the thawing. Anyway, it stops Hubby whining about the price of heating oil.

Electric Blankets Save Energy
Monday, February 09, 2009
My hubby mentioned to me the other day that when he was young, and living in UK, the houses were colder than those we have here in Canada! He was talking of single pane glass windows, and ice forming on the inside in winter. He told me that they used to have hot water bottles, and also later on he had an electric blanket that was thermostatically controlled. When you think about it, this can save money, as they use only about the same amount of electricity as a light bulb. We can even turn down the house thermostat a few extra degrees overnight.

Winter Storm Warning!
Tuesday, February 03, 2009
Another blizzard on the way, people! Snow fall just started here an hour ago. Kids got the day off again! I heard on the radio that total snowfall will amounts to between 15 and 25 centimetres along with freezing rain and ice pellets today and later on tonight. This is the bit I don't like-- the freezing rain!....a mixture of precipitation types, not a good combination..plus that strengthening heavy winds they are talking about that will give rise to blowing snow that will lead to reduced visibilities...Well, I am glad the kids are off, you will never know when the storm is going to hit. Besides, it's a hassle for parents to get their kids from school in the middle of the day, or for that matter, in the middle of a storm. So it's better to stay home and play xbox360, or in my case, be at Facebook! lol...
