My New Van Has A Warning Light!
Thursday, April 23, 2009
I have no idea why, but I was driving along, and suddenly the 'check engine' light came on.
I phoned hubby, and he asked me to check over a few things, and said it might just be a sensor, because I had driven a few miles with the light on, and if it was serious, like an oil problem, then he says that the engine would be destroyed by now.
I must remember that. When the light comes on next time, I will be sure not to just carry on driving, as it is possible that sometimes it is something really wrong that will cause damage.

Add Computer Memory, Make Do With Your Computer For a While Longer
Saving money on the occasional purchases just got a little easier. I mean, things like furniture, TV's, computers, all need replacing at some time or another, in my case normally after the old one breaks down, or gets so bad looking that I have to go for a new one. In the case of our computer, we have one that is likely to be, I guess, more than 5 years old, but it seems to keep working quite well, although I noticed that we have to press the reset button every time we start it up. Anyway, once started, it runs fine, and Hubby does anti-virus scans etc, so we know it is fairly clear of spyware and stuff that might make it run slowly. So, I think it might just run a bit slower when opening webpages because the webpages have gotten more complex. So, Hubby intends to try adding some more computer memory and keep the old girl running a bit longer, the computer that is, not me!

Reliable Diet Pill
Wednesday, April 22, 2009
If you have ever compared diet pills, then you will know that they work using different methods, some by burning fat, etc etc. But there are also some that are not really what they claim, as they consist of large amounts of things like sugar, or other inert products. Packing, is what I call it. Makes it look like a medication type pill, but it turns out to have minor effect.
Not so with nuphedra, by all accounts. You get exactly what they claim you get, a good diet pill.

where is the best place?
Monday, April 20, 2009
I can't help but wonder...where is the best place to retire, or for that matter, to die?

I always thought that being here in Canada where access to medical benefits and various knowledge about any medical condition is beneficial. I have changed my opinion on this after an old lady i knew from few years ago had a stroke back home. They have a little to no knowledge about the condition and left her in her bed for 2 days before getting her to the hospital. She now have a big percentage of her brain damaged and the doctor advised the family to get her home and let nature take its course. Her family is now always beside her, taking care of her. Some visit her from as far as the other side of the world just to make her feel happy.

My dad on the other hand, who also suffered a stroke is well taking care off. So well that we are not happy when he will not do anything. So now, regardless of his age, he is working part time just to get him going. I often see him stares at the wall. I know a lot of stuff runs in his mind.Who can blame him? he just had a life-threatening episode.

So now I wonder, will my dad be happier back home surrounded with friends and family who will be there to cheer him up and make sure that it will be as comfortable as possible for him? or is he happier here, with all the medicines but feeling alone all the time?

Las Vegas
Saturday, April 18, 2009
There are not many places that are really geared up for a great time over, say, a weekend, or maybe a week, but Las Vegas hotels offer such a service. The saying goes, from the ads on TV, 'What happens in Las Vegas, stays in Las Vegas', and I suppose that reflects the differences between Las Vegas and other getaway destinations. Perhaps the reason for this is that the State laws in Las Vegas are so different, and some say permissive, than those of other States.

Comparing Diet Pills
Monday, April 06, 2009
One of the great things about the internet is that it has a quick response time to new news. Another thing is the ability to obtain information quickly about whatever subject you wish. There is generally some information about just about anything. Also, you can use forums to ask others about things, and to swap ideas, and compare products. Of course you have to be careful to use your own judgment in the end before making decisions. One way to gather information even faster and with less hassle is to find websites that do comparisons of various similar products such as diet pills, where by looking at one location, you can get the various brands compared, not only for price, but also for various aspects of quality.
