Are US Politics Crazy?
Saturday, October 30, 2010
Seems from the news we get from TV that US politics area bit crazy. Or maybe a lot crazy. The people elect the person to represent them, but the Party rules what the politician actually does, which might oppose what the people want.
It is not just in the US either, the same applies to most 'democratic' countries, where there are Parties involved. It could be a snag that delays recovery in the US.

Diet Pill Value Comparison
Friday, October 22, 2010
Sometimes, the 'best' might not be the best.
For instance, if I need a car that is going to rack up lots of mileage in a short time, then for best dollar value, that can exceed other considerations, I might be better off not getting an expensive luxury car.
Same with diet pills.
I mean, say one type costs a zillion bucks, but the 'next best' was 20 bucks, but only 98% as good in all respects excluding price, then it would really be the best.
And that is why it is best to get comparisons on which diet pills really work, and to include the price, or 'bang for the buck' factor.

Tech Job Trend Continues
Thursday, October 14, 2010
The boom of the 50's and 60's was apparently caused by the increase in manufacturing. So, it would be easy to try to have another boom in that manner. The fact though, is clear, that any such jobs, unless tied in some way by location, will go offshore.
The trend will continue to be one where tech jobs are the leading employment means. Together with those will be the service jobs that support any population, such as cleaners, food industry workers, and similar. And I recently read that China will slow down somewhat due to their one-child policy creating an older average aged workforce, and India will gain in economic strength. It is all very interesting.

Coastal Living Is Best
Tuesday, October 12, 2010
I was born near the sea, and have always lived near the sea. I can't think of living in a place where the only water might be a pond or a lake, even though, of course, in Canada, the lakes can be as large as a sea anyway, but it just isn't the same without the salt!
In recent years, the weather has become more varied, and the advantage of this is that it is great to have a few warmer days in the middle of winter, just to melt things down a bit, and give us all just a few hours break from the cold.
The snag of course is that often, a few days later, we pay for that same relief by having a lot of snow shoveling to do!

Prom Dresses And Formal Wear
Monday, October 11, 2010
Prom dresses are really important to those that wear them, but probably less important to the dates of those who wear them! The fact remains that as always, guys are less sensitive to how people, including themselves, are dressed, than the gals are, although most guys want the gal to be happy with the way they look.
And it is for formal occasions that photos will be taken that will retain the memories for the rest of your life, and the wearing of prom dresses or similar wear is part of that.

Weight loss, slow and sure.
Saturday, October 09, 2010
One of the habits we probably all have is a tendency to ignore weight gain and try to deny to ourselves that it is happening, then we reach a point, like a breaking point where we decide to lose some weight and so we start sudden extreme dieting or use help in the form of appetite reducing or fat burning pills, in the hope that we can turn a switch, and put the weight gain into reverse like we can a DVD show.
Life is not that easy. The human body reacts very badly to sudden changes, as it sees them as some kind of emergency compared to what was previously normal, and so goes into a reaction mode.
A far better and more sensible idea is to go for a healthy weight loss program that will probably be a slower, yet more sure process. The big advantage is that once the weight is back off using this method, you have a greater chance of keeping it off by just paying a little attention to your eating habits.

Online Massage? - not quite!
Friday, October 08, 2010
When I first saw that there was a massage therapy program online, I imagined that it was the massaging that somehow was online, but I have to be careful what I read into words!
It is the program that is online, so that you can learn massage therapy. Silly me!
I guess that it is a growing profession, as it has certainly expanded in recent years, and it is probably easy to figure out why, looking at the amount of muscular injuries and minor strains that there are in the modern workplace.

What a great time of year!
Wednesday, October 06, 2010
The leaves are changing to brown, or if I wanted to be poetic, I could call it russet. Pretty soon, we will have high winds and rain combined, and this will add weight to the leaves, and cause them to fall quicker than they are currently doing.
Time to watch out when driving - those wet leaves are very slippery!

Building Muscle
Supplements for building muscle are often not as efficient as they are made out to be. The fact is simple - most of such supplements do not work.
Having said that, there are some that do work. And so the trick is to know which are which.
One good way, as you might expect, would be to take a good look at a review type website, where the best muscle building supplement will no doubt make itself apparent. By looking at reviews, the various points of effectiveness can be seen for each product reviewed.

Hoodia - a good product?
Tuesday, October 05, 2010
Hoodia is a naturally occurring content of a plant. It has properties that have been known for many years, but not globally. It suppresses appetite, as well as thirst, and so therefore a bit of care should be exercised when using it. Having said that, hoodia diet pills are a successful product, provided caution is used.
Actually, it is a mark of the effectiveness of the product that it is so efficient in altering the way the human body deals with hunger and thirst, that a person using it has to manually make drinking and eating decisions, to prevent dehydration etc.

Fat Burning
Monday, October 04, 2010
Dieting to lose weight does not need to be the battle that a lot of people make it. Some dieting aids regulate hunger, and obviously that is a good feature to have. But added to that, most fat burner type dieting aids burn the fat after it has been consumed. In any case, you can look at reviews of thermogenic fat burners online. The best way to make a decision is by using the findings of others, and that is the true value of a review type website.

Frost Warnings
Sunday, October 03, 2010
I have always found it a bit unusual how there can be frost when the temperature is higher than freezing. I believe I read somewhere that it is something about how the heat goes away from things especially at night, and more so if the color is dark.
Another thing is that plants seem to be OK when it is just one degree above freezing, but when the temperature drops below freezing, they get affected.
Anyway, interesting to see the weather people giving frost warnings. The start of the winter, really.
What they ought to invent are warnings that there will be no frost, so they can prepare us for summer.

Electronic Cigarettes
Saturday, October 02, 2010
There are a couple of reasons why people smoke. It is not as simple as an addiction to nicotine, it might be an addiction to the taste of smoke, as well as the need to have an object to fiddle with, just as some people chew the tops of pens.
This is why a replacement for the act of having something to do is a great and successful idea.
In steps the electronic cigarette. Because of the electronics, it is a real boon to anyone trying to quit. And there are websites where you can compare electronic cigarettes.

Accounting Jobs
Friday, October 01, 2010
Finance is always a good sector to look at for a career. Like the food industry, there is always a need for it. No doubt at all that the bast place to look for accounting finance jobs is on a website that specializes in listing such jobs.
Even with the economy poor, as things grow back up to more normal levels, the accounting jobs and in fact any finance connected jobs, will be among the first to start being active.
