Warming the Ground
Monday, February 20, 2012
It seems that the warmer the winters are, the less snow that stays lying on the ground, and the sooner that summer starts.
It is simple science that a white surface reflects more heat and light than a dark coloured one.
Traditionally, in places cold enough for snow cover, the snow will eventually disappear as the warm air coupled with rain comes along in late March or in April.
Just for the last few years though, at least in my area, the snow has disappeared before the rain comes.
It might be that this global warming thing is more severe than we are being told.

Microphones
Saturday, February 11, 2012
Musicians are probably the most fussy buyers of microphones and amplifiers.
Some of them that I have known insist upon using amplifiers that use the old-fashioned tubes, rather than transistors or silicon chip technology.
There are quite a few reputable makes of microphones that are favored, including the famous olympus microphones, as well as microphone accessories such as wind screens.
Good for Karaoke, too.

Funny Coffee Mugs
Saturday, February 04, 2012
I had a good laugh last Christmas. My Hubby is a real sugar addict, as well as, like me, a coffee addict. And he takes so much sugar that he is kind of famous at the local drive-through coffee outlets. He takes 2 cream, and, get this, no less than SIX sugar!!! So, my sister Wendy bought him a clean white coffee mug, and wrote on it with a marker pen the words '2 cream and 6 sugar'. Now, since then, I found out that she could have had almost as much fun by just buying any one of many funny coffee mugs that are available online.

Adult Fun - personal gifts for the gals
Thursday, February 02, 2012
When we see the word 'lingerie', we tend to think of the impractical as far as clothing value goes. But it is a fact that adult lingerie costumes can be more than the more extreme type of lingerie available. In fact, the milder types can be an extremely usable type of underwear.
Now, here is a secret for the guys - for just a few bucks, really, you can give your significant other a gift for themselves that is also a gift for you! It is a real win-win situation.
And, you can also make her giggle a bit, at least the first time, if you also choose something a little more extreme.
